IN MEMORY OF
Deborah Baughn
July 11, 2025
Jan. 16, 1954
Deborah Faye Baughn, age 71, of Lynn, Alabama, passed away on July 11, 2025,
surrounded by constant care and support from her family who deeply loved her. The
family wishes to recognize the loving care provided to Deb in the final months of her life
by Hendrix Healthcare.
Deb was born in Guin, Alabama, on January 16, 1954, to Willie Glo and Ann Lynn
Baughn.
She graduated from Lynn High School in 1972 and later went to study at Judson College
in Marion, Alabama.
Deb served as Postmaster at the Natural Bridge United States Postal Service for 30
years. She loved her work, and she loved her community.
A creative soul, Deb was a talented painter, woodworker, and artist. She was a friend to
all animals, especially her beloved pets, whom she adored and cared for unconditionally.
Any care she could provide to another, be it another person or an animal, would be
given with a generous and glad heart.
Deb was a faithful member of Old Zion United Methodist Church and a lifelong follower
of Christ. She was baptized in 1966 at Lynn Baptist Church at the age of twelve.
Her family will remember Deb as a quiet and gentle spirit, a quality of great worth to the
Lord, as Scripture tells us, and certainly of great worth to her family and friends. She
lived her life with a tender heart for all people, animals, and God’s creation. Her family
will cherish the memories of the countless picnics at Natural Bridge Park with her,
visiting her at her job at the USPS, and joyful times spent together at her beloved home
in Double Springs, Alabama.
Deb is survived by her mother, Ann Lynn Baughn; her sister, Teresa Baughn Harbin and
her husband, Lelton Harbin; her brother, Richard Baughn; her brother, Tim Baughn
and his wife, Alicia Baughn; her nieces, Katie Baughn Hearn and her husband, David
Hearn, and Emma Baughn; her nephew, Frankie Kaldi and his wife, Abbey Kaldi.
She was preceded in death by her father, Willie Glo Baughn; her nephew, Michael
Harbin; and her nephew, Cory Baughn. We hold firm to the hope that Deb, Michael, and
Cory are now reunited in the arms of Christ.
Visitation will be held on July 13, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Wilson’s Funeral Home in
Carbon Hill, Alabama. Memorial services will follow at 3:00 p.m.
