Carol Ann Ingram (81) Sun City, FL passed away peacefully on Sunday June 29, 2025. Carol was born in Heber Springs, AR to Finley and Prudie Vaughan. She married Jesse Ingram on November 15, 1958. They were married 63 years until Jesse’s death February 15, 2022. She is survived by her children, Timothy Ingram (Ferne), Sandra Adams (Mark), Jeffrey Ingram (Nancy), Paul Whitaker, Kevin Whitaker (Mary) 23 Grandchildren (2 deceased), 39 Great Grandchildren and 2 Great-Great Grandchildren. She is survived by In Laws, Dennis and Gaynell Shirley, Marie Rhodes and many Nieces and Nephews. She was preceded in death by her 3 siblings Geraldine Henderson, Bill Vaughan, Mary Whitaker Armfield, and several In Laws. Jesse and Carol raised their children near Kokomo, IN where they both worked and retired from Delco Electronics. They were members of Mt. Zion Christian Church in Galveston, IN. In 1992 they moved to Arley, AL where they built their dream home on Smith Lake and became members of Meek Baptist Church. They were longtime members and assisted in building the new church where Members currently worship. In 2021, Carol and Jesse moved to Sun City, FL where they attended Friendship Baptist Church. After Jesse’s passing, Carol became an active member and gained many friends along the way. She felt a strong kinship with the members of Friendship Baptist and truly enjoyed Pastor Dave’s sermons. If you knew Carol, you know that she never went anywhere without a camera. She has photographed many relatives at family events, vacation destinations, animals, sunsets and ocean waves. She loved looking at pictures and telling the stories of each one. Carol and Jesse loved vacation adventures. They went to all 50 states. Some of their most memorable were the Hawaii 25th Anniversary trip with Ralph and Irene Ingram, and the cross country trip to Alaska with Dennis and Gaynell Shirley and Carolyn Ingram. They took kids and Grandkids to the Smokey Mountains, Grand Canyon, Yellowstone Nat’l. Park, many camping excursions, and summer adventures at Smith Lake. Carol loved her Family, her Church and her Country deeply. Her faith remained strong until her death. She was a true patriot and most of all, a loving wife, wonderful Mother and Mammaw. Services will be held at Meek Baptist Church, 360 Helicon Rd, Arley, AL 35541 on Saturday, July 12th at 1Pm, viewing at 12PM. In lieu of Flowers, donations can be made to the Friendship Baptist Church (Building fund) 1511 EL Rancho Dr., Sun City Center, FL 33573.
