With heavy hearts we announce the home going of Eulene “Aunt Eulene” Smith on May 29, 2025 at the beautiful age of 90.

Eulene is survived by her sister Earline McDaniel; sister-in-law, Linda Hall; brothers-in-law, Buddy (Shirley) Smith, and Floyd Guthrie; special niece and nephew, Lisa and Mark Edmonds; nieces and nephews, Jeff Smith, Lee Smith, Patsy Wilkerson, John Hall, Larry Smith, Ricky McDaniel, Sheila McDaniel, Rodney McDaniel, Mitchell McDaniel, Joy Batman, Johnny Lane, Vanessa Cook, Greg Guthrie, Delores Richardson, and Hazel Prescott; as well as a host of extended friends and family.

Aunt Eulene is preceded in death by her parents, Lee and Beula Northcutt Ingram; husband, Roland J. Smith; sisters, Inez Smith, Euplea Ingram, Hazel Ingram, Geneva Williams, Estell Ingram and Gertrude Dobbins; brother, Ervin Ingram; brothers-in-law, Harold, Barney, and Robert Smith, Carl Hall, and Gene McDaniel; sisters-in-law, Fay Guthrie, and Verdeal Eadie; nephews, Michael McDaniel, Michael Eadie, and Hilton Eadie; as well as her precious fur babies Jazzi and Tiny.

Eulene was a member of Nauvoo Church of God and was involved in sharing the love of God to the residents at Walker Rehab in Carbon Hill for 40+ years. A life lived with love and kindness, she touched lives through many different roles.

The family would like to give special thanks to Cindy Wright for the love and kindness shown to precious Aunt Eulene. You brightened so many of her days! Thank you.

Also, special thanks to Dr. Almonte and staff at Walker Baptist Hospital, Jasper and staff at Walker Rehab in Carbon Hill, and Gentiva Hospice staff with special thanks to Leslie and Amanda for their kindness.

Funeral services for Aunt Eulene will be held Monday, June 2, 2025 at Wilson Funeral Home and On-Site Crematory. Visitation will be form 12:00-2:00 with services to follow. Burial will be held directly after services at Springhill Cemetery. Brother Tyler Keene will officiate. Pall Bearers are Mark Edmonds, Jeff Smith, Lee Smith, Buddy Smith, Scott Tucker, and Kevin Cosby.
