Sherilyn (Sherry) Ann Broughton, 78, passed away Thursday, April 3rd, 2025, surrounded by her family. She was the wife of James (Jimbeaux) N. Broughton. They shared a wonderful life together in both Texas and Alabama. Born in Port Arthur, TX, she was the daughter of Francis Pierre Rouly and Velma Mae Rouly. She was the sister of Janice Rouly Crawford (deceased), Marcy Rouly (deceased), Sheila Rouly, Arlen Rouly (deceased) (wife Carol Sherwood Rouly), and Lynette Rouly Landry (husband David Landry). She graduated from Bishop Byrne High School in 1964 and was a member of the Colleens Drum and Bugle Corps. She went on to attend Lamar University. She maintained a loving home for her husband Jim and her children Tamra Crawford Zahn (husband, Tracy Zahn), Candace Crawford Dupuis (husband, Joey Dupuis), Sheri Crawford, Victor (Wick) Crawford (wife Samantha McCall Crawford) and Michelle Broughton. Sherry enjoyed dancing, fishing, crocheting, NASCAR races, Houston Astros, taking care of her roses, sitting on her porch with Jim and being a wife, mother, Grammy, Mimi and Gigi. She had a unique relationship with each of her grandchildren, Jenna Thibodeau (husband Richard Thibodeau), Zachary Dupuis, Dalton Dodson (wife Daisy Dodson Ibarra) Sarah Zahn, Samantha Zahn, Tristan Dupuis, Dane Dodson (wife Paige Dodson Elliott), Hunter Zahn, Victor Crawford III, Audrey Crawford, and Charlotte Crawford. She was blessed with seven great grandchildren, Adalyn, Margot, Jackson, Maeve, Logan, Beau and Sebastian. With her outgoing and sassy personality, she could make friends and strike up conversations wherever she went. A gathering of Sherry’s family and friends will be held at St. James Catholic Church 3617 Gulfway Dr. Port Arthur, TX 77642 on May 9, 2025 @ 11:00a (Rosary @ 10:30).
