Earl "Junior" Ratliff Obituary

Earl "Junior" Ratliff, born at home in Arley, Alabama on January 17, 1949, passed away on March 22, 2025. A devoted Christian and a hardworking man, Earl dedicated over 55 years to the drywall industry. He was known for his generosity, always willing to lend a helping hand, and never met a stranger—he would talk to anyone and loved sharing his faith. His love for hot rods and coffee was well known among those who knew him. Above all, he cherished his family and took great pride in his children and grandchildren. Earl was preceded in death by his parents, Earl Amos Ratliff and Mattie Francis Ratliff; his siblings, Hattie Ruth Kennedy, Ruby Marie Mitchell, Rufus Warren Ratliff, Paul Terry Ratliff, and Bobby Dale Ratliff; his late wife, Pamela Jean Ratliff; and his daughter, Tammy Lynn Ratliff. He is survived by his loving wife, Deborah Ratliff; his children, Scotty Ratliff (Tiffaney), Jessica Brimer (Matthew), and Heather Treece (Craig); four grandchildren whom he adopted and loved as his own, Alivia Winkles (Cody), Brooklyn McKinnon, Scottland McKinnon (Chelsea), and Kaitlyn Merck (Jonathan); two stepdaughters, Kimberly Brothers (Alex) and Kelly Walker (Dennis); his sister, Deborah Heath (Thomas); his brother, Billy Ratliff (Brenda); as well as a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends. Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 27, 2025, at Meek Baptist Church in Arley, Alabama. Friends and family will gather from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Services will begin at 2:00 p.m. officiated by Brother Edward Thompson. Earl will be laid to rest at Mt. Hope Cemetery. The family will gather for a meal in the Fellowship Hall following services. Earl's kindness and unwavering faith left a lasting impact on all who knew him. May his memory bring comfort to those who loved him.
