Bobby Joe Ford, 80, passed away at his home in Barney, Alabama alongside the Warrior River on February 23, 2025.

He was born on March 6, 1944, in Cordova, Alabama. Bobby was a man of unwavering dedication and generosity. Known for his selflessness and tireless work ethic, he was always the first to lend a helping hand to those in need. His kindness and devotion left an indelible mark on the lives of his family and friends, making their world a better place through his presence and actions.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Peggy Joe Ford; his parents, Flora Mae Ford and Charlie Ford; and his siblings Maebell Roberts, John Henry, Verna Homan, Marie Nolan, Frank Ford, David Ford, and Shirley Fruci.

Bobby is survived by his children Marlon Ford and Jerry Nabors; grandchildren Michael Ford, Bobby Nabors, and Shelby Rose Nabors; great-grandchildren Bowman Ford, Cruitt Ford, Jovi Nabors, Neka Nabors, and Kai Nabors; as well as his brothers Charles Ford, Billie Ford, and James Ford; and sister Barbara Williams.

A memorial service will be held on March 1, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Cordova Church of God of Prophecy, located at 2040 Old Parrish Cordova Road in Cordova, Alabama. There will be no graveside service.

Bobby’s legacy of love and generosity will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew him. He will be deeply missed but forever remembered with gratitude and affection.
