Paula Jean McGough, of Carbon Hill, Alabama, passed away on December 15, 2024 at the age of 64. Paula was a woman of deep faith, a strong believer in the Lord who cherished and lived by the word of God. She was known for her kind and generous spirit, often described as having a "heart of gold." Paula was also an educated woman and a dedicated business owner, running Magic Touch Massage for many years with care and professionalism. She was preceded in death by her mother, Carolyn Hansford Vines; father, Paul Vines; sister, Debbie Burtner; brother, Don Vines; husband, Randy McGough; and son, Daniel McGough. Paula leaves behind her husband, Curtiss McGough; her best friend, Denise Johnson, who was like a sister to her; her sister-in-law, Theresa Vines; her special niece, Samantha Vines; nieces Brittany Stevens and April Vines; and a host of other family members and dear friends who will forever cherish her memory. Funeral services will be held at Wilson Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel in Carbon Hill on Wednesday, December 18, 2024, at 11:00 a.m., with visitation beginning one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at McDade Cemetery. Pastor Wanda Stanfield and Brother Chad Beavers will officiate. Paula’s unwavering faith and loving nature touched the lives of many.
