April 12, 1931
Mavalean Ward Britt went home to be with her Lord and Savior on November 29th, 2024, at the age of 93, surrounded by her loving family.
Born on April 12th, 1931, in Arkansas, Mavalean was the cherished daughter of Murphy and Martha Ward. In 1948, she met her soulmate, William Keith Britt, and the two were blessed with a marriage that spanned 66 joyful years. Together, they lived a life filled with love, adventure, and unwavering faith. Their shared passion for serving the Lord led them to minister through a motorcycle ministry, spreading the gospel far and wide. The impact of their ministry is immeasurable, as their dedication touched countless lives through the sharing the love of Christ.
Affectionately known as "Gran Gran," Mavalean was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her family and church community were at the center of her life, and her unwavering prayers for those she loved were a testament to her faith. Mavalean's life was a beacon of grace and service, reflecting her deep love for God and others. She was an active member of her Sunday school class for many years and spent her last days at Woodland Village, lovingly uplifting the staff and continuing to share the gospel with all she met.
Her legacy of faith, love, and service is an enduring inspiration to all who knew her. Mavalean is now joyfully reunited in Heaven with her loved ones who have gone before her, including William Keith Britt and daughter, Pamela Kay Malone.
She is survived by her son, Michael Keith (Patti) Britt, grandchildren, Amy Britt (Matthew) Fruetel, Mary Catherine (Anthony) Sellers, Mandy Malone (Kyle) Ellenburg, and Meagan Elizabeth (Todd) Fleenor; grandchildren, Carter Britt Fruetel, Hannah Joy Fruetel, Praislyn Kate Robertson, Koda Issac Ellenburg, and Isaac-William Shepherd Sellers, as well as a host of extended friends and family.
Mavalean often spoke with excitement about going home to the Lord, and her family invites you to join them in celebrating her life and homecoming on Saturday, December 6th, at 1:00pm, at Awakening Life Church. She is now in the arms of Jesus, her eternal refuge and greatest desire.
