Ethel “Sue” Hart, aged 74, passed away peacefully on November 29, 2024. Born on September 21, 1950, Sue was a cherished mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister, and friend. Her life was a testament to love, family, and the joy of cooking, a passion she shared generously with those around her. Sue was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Hattie Bell and Andrew Jackson Roberts; her devoted husband, Robert Hart; her daughter, Lisa Currington; her brothers, Dennis, Paul, and Joe Roberts; her sisters, Lillie Phillips and Claira Greathouse; and her grandson, Jeremy McDonald. Their memories remained close to her heart throughout her life. She is survived by her loving daughter, Rebecca Mitchell Curtis, and her two sons, Thomas A. Currington and his wife Karen, and Brandon McDonald (Tammy). Sue’s legacy continues through her numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild, all of whom she adored deeply. Her family was her pride and joy, and she cherished every moment spent with them. Sue is also survived by her brother, Billy Ray Ragsdale and his wife Alma Lee; her sisters, Nell Stewart, Linda Young, Dorothy Chasteen, and Rita Allen; and her brother, Danny Jones and his wife Sybil. She leaves behind a host of other family members and dear friends who will miss her warmth and kindness. Sue’s life was a beautiful tapestry of love, laughter, and culinary delights. Her memory will be forever cherished by all who knew her. As we say goodbye, we celebrate the remarkable life she led and the indelible mark she left on our hearts. A memorial service for Mrs. Hart will be held on Friday, December 6, 2024 at 1:00pm in The Wilson Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel in Carbon Hill. Brother Tim Turney will officiate
