Lucille Vellner age 78, passed away on November 09, 2024, in Jasper, Alabama. Born on May 18, 1946, in Walker County, Alabama, Lucille's journey through life was marked by her deep connections to her family, her adventurous spirit, and her enduring love. Lucille graduated from Carbon Hill High School in 1964, and soon after, embarked on a career with AL Gas Company. Her professional life was characterized by dedication and a strong work ethic. In a heartfelt chapter of her life, Lucille moved to Sweden to be with the love of her life, Josef Vellner. There, she spent over 40 fulfilling years, before returning to Alabama in 2021 to be closer to her family. Lucille passed away at Walker Baptist Medical Center, surrounded by her loved ones. Lucille is survived by her sisters, Mary Virginia Files, Sarah Soper (Lamar), and Elaine McGough (David), along with a host of nieces, nephews, and dear friends who will cherish her memory. She was preceded in death by her parents, Marguerite and Lloyd Pearce; her beloved husband, Josef Vellner; and her brother, William Howard "Bubba" Pearce. A graveside service to honor and celebrate Lucille's life will be held at The Carbon Hill Memorial Cemetery on Saturday, November 16, 2024, at 10:00 AM. Wilson Funeral Home & On-Site Crematory LLC in Carbon Hill, Alabama, is assisting the family during this time.
