Ms. Connie Frances “Gran” Whorton, 77, of Cordova, passed away July 30, 2024. Connie is preceded in death by her parents, Weyman Dempsy and Amanda Elizabeth Whatley; sister and brother-in-law, Libby and James Bevel and niece, Jeannie Bevel. Left to cherish Connie’s memory include her sons, Scott (Lisa) and Phillip (Darlene) Whorton; siblings, David Coleman (Kathy) Whatley, Weyman Dee (Anne) Whatley, Lorri Camille (Dan Pratt) Stanley, and Edward Barnett Whatley; grandchildren, Amanda Whorton (Chris) Smith, Stacy Whorton (Wesley) Smith, Allyssa (Chad) Myers and Christina Whorton; great-grandchildren, SJ Smith, Laney Smith, Cason Smith, Ross Smith, Carolina Myers, and Hagen Smith, as well as a host of extended friends and family. Memorial Services for Connie “Gran” Whorton will be held at a later date.
