Grady Thomas Herron, age 69, of Birmingham, Alabama, passed away on May 10, 2024. He was born on July 7, 1954, in Jasper, Alabama. Grady was known as a hard worker who loved his family dearly. He enjoyed fishing at the Walker County Lake with his grandkids, and was described as an easy-going man who always lent a helping hand to others. He was actively involved in the Christian Mission in Nauvoo. He is survived by his wife, Darlene Herron, daughters Connie Armstrong, Lisa Tidwell, Leeann Herron, Renee Lane, Shannon (Mark) Tidmore, sons Terry Lee Lane, Eric (Julia) Lane, sisters Betty Jo (Darryl) Smith, Martha Tyler, brother Thomas Odie (Doris) Herron, seventeen grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. Grady was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Ellen Herron, father, Odie Herron, children Grady Bruce Herron, Mary Ellen Herron, sisters Elizabeth Colburn, Maudie Ella Martin, Mary Katherine Tyler, brothers William Herron, Perry Herron, Luther Herron, and grandchildren Emily and Dalton Cleghorn-Lane. He enjoyed hobbies such as fishing, animal farming, farming, and woodworking. Grady worshipped at the Boldo Church of God of Prophecy. Services for Grady Herron will be announced later by the family.
