Mildred Grace Peacock Obituary

Mildred Grace Peacock, 68, a resident of Cowarts, Alabama, died of natural causes on February 26, 2024, at her daughter’s home in Jasper. She was born November 11, 1955, in Graceville, Florida, the daughter of Robert Jefferson Golden,  and Maida (Carnley) Golden.

Grace graduated from Riley Community College. She held many jobs throughout her life. She spent time as a cashier, a waitress, and a donut maker. However, she retired from Walmart after nearly 30 years of employment. She enjoyed reading romance novels, doing word search puzzles, and doing crossword puzzles.

Mrs. Peacock was of the Baptist faith and still called Union Hill Baptist Church in Cottonwood her home church, even though she had not formally attended for many years. Grace was a Christian woman who believed the answer to every problem in life was to pray about it. She encouraged her family to do the same. Her children and family were always covered in her prayers.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Jimmy Wayne Peacock, a son, Jonathan Boyett, daughters; Martha Sue Peacock and Candida Grace Peacock, brothers; William Edward Golden, Robert Lemon Golden, and Leroy Golden; and a sister, Linda Joyce (Golden) Wilson.

Survivors include twin daughters: Marilyn Ruth Lee (Andy), Jasper and Carolyn Joyce Peacock, Cottonwood, a son; J.C. Peacock II “Jake”, Cowarts, sisters; Annie Mae Holland and Ruby Hazel Crutchfield, a brother; Billy Paul Golden, a sister-in-law/best friend; Nancy Carol Peacock, grandchildren; James Immanuel Dyson, Cameron Arnold, Destiny Arnold, Mason Peacock, Shane Watson, Jaycee Watson, Donald Mack Caudle III, Rachel Caudle, Brianna Lee, Brannian Lee, Piper Lee, and JJ “Lil Wayne” Peacock; 11 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews; and a few good friends from Walmart.

A memorial service has been planned for April 21st, 2024. The time and location will be confirmed to friends and family at a later time. Donations are being taken at this time to help cover the cost of the memorial. Please give @ https://gofund.me/6a364ff9 or Venmo - @Marilyn-Caudle
