George Franklin McGowen Jr. 73, of Kansas, Alabama passed away October 15, 2023 at his residence.

A visitation will be held Wednesday October 18, 2023 from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. at the Bob Wilson Memorial Chapel, Carbon Hill, Alab ama. Prior to the funeral service at 2:00 P.M. at the Chapel. Brother Wayne Keeton will be officiating the service.

Mr. McGowen is preceded in death by his parents George F. McGowen Sr. and Amanda Jean McGowen, nephew Jeremy Mallett.

He is survived by his wife Rita McGowen, two daughters Carla Musick (Tim Hobson), Love Hayes (Rodney), Step- daughter Crystal Petry (Michael), 9 grandchildren, Steton Hayes, Eli Johnson (Lindsey), Cole Hayes (Katie,) Seth Hayes (Savanna), Deidra Johnson (Alex Page), Isaac Johnson, Matthew Petry, Jonah Johnson (Breanna Eddy), and Justin Petry, 7 great grandchildren, two sisters, Deborah Mallett (Tim Murray), Beth Nixon (Scott Riffle), and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and dear friends.
