Mr. Benjamin Randall Meggs “Ben” passed away at home on Sunday, May 28, 2023 at the age of 34. Ben was born with a disability and had a difficult life. He is in God’s hands now and all his pain is gone. Funeral services for Ben will take place at First Presbyterian Church in Carbon Hill on Saturday, June 3, 2023 at 12:00 pm. A visitation will take place in The Church one hour prior to service time. In lieu of flowers the family encourages everyone to make a donation to a charity of their choosing. Ben was preceded in death by his loving mother, Mary Beth Meggs; paternal grandparents, Walter B. Meggs and Odean A. Meggs and maternal grandparents, Theo Darty and Lou Neil Darty. He is survived by his father, Walter Randall Meggs; brothers, Walter Reginald Meggs (Stephanie) and Joseph Meggs; nephews, Wesley and Tanner Meggs; an extended family at First Presbyterian Church of Carbon Hill and very special friends, Deborah Lewis and Louise Williams.
