Gary Dewayne Roberts, 44, of Carbon Hill, Alabama, left this earthly dwelling on Monday, May 15, 2023. Wilson Funeral Home and Crematory in Carbon Hill is assisting the family with the arrangements. There will be a viewing at Wilson Funeral Home in the chapel for family on Sunday, May 21, 2023 at 12:00pm, friends at 1pm. Funeral services will be at 2pm. There will be no graveside services. Gary was born June 8, 1978 in Alabama. Gary was a loving father, hardworking Christian man, proud uncle, who loved to fish, hunt, fix and race cars, coach baseball, and play golf. He was a country boy who grew up in Arley, Alabama but later as an adult moved to Jasper, Alabama playing baseball and football as #4. His laughter lit up the room with that cute little chuckle he made with a huge grin on his face. He loved hanging out with friends and he loved his family. He worked hard to provide for his family. His pride and joy was his son Bailey. He will be remembered for his room brightening smile, huge giving heart, and love of family and friends. He is preceded in death by: Mother: Georgia Jurvis, Grandmother: Nell Roberts, Grandfather: Willie Roberts, Great Grandparents: Connie Roberts & Dee Roberts, Brother: Gary D. Roberts Jr. He is survived by: Son: Bailey Roberts, Stepson: Austin Bennett, Stepdaughter: Lindsay Bennett, Step Grandchild: Oakleigh Grace, Father: Gary Roberts, Sisters: Latticia Roberts, Samantha Burgess, Ashley Brumbaugh, Brandy Giddens, Jami Giddens, Brother: Nicholas Roberts, Brother: James Giddens, Nieces: Michelle, Victoria B., Victoria R., Faith, Aaliyah, Haleigh, Macayla, Hannah, Emma and Maite, Nephews: Elijah, Brandon, Christian, Brantley, Grayson and Joey, and a Great Niece: Saphyra a special friend: John Thrash, Jeff Glover Jr. And a host of other relatives and dear friends.
