Mrs. Betty Jean Lindley passed away on Tuesday, May 2, 2023 at the age of 79. Betty was a longtime member of Lynn Baptist church. She will be remembered as a fine Christian lady with a sweet soul, as someone who truly loved her family, as the best cook, but most of all as a loving wife, mother, nana, sister and friend. She will be missed by all who knew her. Mrs. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Carlos Matthews and Mary Evans Matthews; infant son, Joseph Randall Lindley; two sisters, Yvonne Barnes and Patricia Williams and a brother, Ron Lindley. She is survived by her husband, Joe Lindley; daughters, Lisa Moore, Pam Williams (Brandon), and Sherry Lakeman (Dan); five grandchildren, Peyton Moore, Sydney Cagle (Lucas Parvin), Emily Williams, Braden Cagle and Seth Williams; brothers, Ralph Matthews, Myron Lindley (the late Annette) and Lee Lindley (the late Sam); sisters, Sheila Dolan (Wally), Letretha Farmer and Gerry McCann (the late AJ McCann). Funeral Services for Mrs. Lindley will take place at The Lynn Baptist Church on Saturday, May 06, 2023 at 1:00 PM. A visitation will take place in the church from 11:00 AM until service time. Brother Kim Byram will officiate.
